More than 1,200 people simultaneously blew wooden train whistles for 10 seconds to mark train station's 100th anniversary.

More than 1,200 people whistled their way to a world record Saturday in Chatham.

The community marked the Chatham Train Station's 100th anniversary by setting a new Guinness World Record with 1,210 people simultaneously blowing wooden train whistles during the annual Fishawack Festival.

Seriously? I know the Patch focuses on local news stories but, is this really front page news worthy? No wonder why Patch is on the brink of extinction. Thank god for the ads that's the only thing keeping them in business.

SO true - why read something ENJOYABLE - like breaking a Guinness Worlds Record when we can read about accidents on Main Street, an attorney stealing money, graffitist caught under the r/r overpass. Scrooge!
