Roadwork Begins on Madison Avenue, Main Street

Storm drainage improvements started this week and road paving will be completed next month.

Construction is underway this week on Madison Avenue and Main Street to perform storm sewer utility improvement with road paving expected to start next month.

The work has been prompted by poor drainage conditions along this section of Madison Avenue and Loantaka Terrace, according to the borough website.

Vehicular traffic will likely not be impeded, but there will be some closed parking spaces along Main Street.

The New Jersey Department of Transportation is expected to begin paving around Aug. 4. The majority of the milling and paving will be done overnight.
