Patch Writer Duffy to Speak at Thursday Morning Club

Madisonian to discuss newspapers and the 'Net.

Jamie Duffy, and Madison resident, will speak to the Thursday Morning Club about “Newspapers and the Internet—What is the Effect?” after the club’s general meeting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 1, at the , 25 Cook Ave. She will also be giving tips on how to get your event into the newspaper. The program, arranged by Kate Donald, Program Chairwoman, is free and open to the public. 

Duffy has also written for the New York Times, Daily Record, Independent Press and the Star-Ledger, where she held the position of social correspondent. She received a bachelor of arts degree in French from Denison University, and a masters of science in Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.

Duffy has been a reporter in northern New Jersey since 1998 when she moved here from Paris with her husband, Jack, and two sons, Will and Robert. Fluent in French, she contemplates returning to Paris where her husband, a former New York Times editor, now works.
