Madison's Annual Easter Fun Fest Shines Bright

Pleasant weather and plenty of prizes highlighted Saturday's event.

The Madison Chamber of Commerce held its annual Easter Fun Fest on Saturday. The Easter bunny brought plenty of eggs and sunshine to the downtown Madison. Children and their parents enjoyed collecting eggs and raffle tickets for a chance to win special gifts that were donated by the Madison businesses.

The grand prize winner was the Weinstein family, of New Providence, who won a new bicycle donated by Peter Daniele of Rose City Collision and provided by the Madison Bicycle Shop.

The grand prize winner also received an Easter basket full of goodies, a spring bouquet donated by Coviello Brothers and a basket full of auto cleaning products from Madison Car Wash & Detail Center.

The Chamber also held a "Count the JellyBeans" contest. The winner was Andrew Zielinski, of Madison, who won an aquarium donated by The Madison Pet Shop, an Easter basket filled with toys and candy, flowers from Coviello Brothers and a basket of auto cleaning supplies.

Runner-up prizes included two Easter baskets from Walgreens and a Tons of Toys gift certificate from Tons of Toys.

"It’s one of the many things we do to attract residents and people outside of town to say hello to our merchants."  said Ken Toumey, president of the Madison Chamber of Commerce. "It’s good for the kids and the town. It’s a lot of fun.”
