VIDEO: FrostKings Play the Blues at Concert Series

Blues and swing band didn't get much help from Mother Nature, but it was still a crowd-pleaser.

Mother Nature provided a spectacular light show for The FrostKings as the Downtown Summer Concert series continued Friday at the .

With severe storm warnings and flash flood advisories posted for most of New Jersey, there was much debate as the faithful concertgoers eyed the sky, wondering if the show would go on–or at least remain outdoors on the lawn.

The old school blues swing band, which performed in last year's series of free outdoor concerts, was literally two notes into its first number when the dark cloud that had hovered over the downtown museum finally opened. Concertgoers quickly picked up their seats and filed inside. Less than ten minutes later The FrostKings had the cozy audience rocking and swaying.

The FrostKings romped through a 40-minute set of Chicago-influenced blues and jumping swing as rain pounded the museum's magnificent stained glass window and lightning and police lights flashed to a backbeat of thunder and sirens.
