Blue Christmas Service

The holidays can be an especially difficult time for people grieving the death of a loved one or in the middle of a life-altering transition such as job loss or divorce.  The Presbyterian Church of Madison is hosting a "Blue Christmas" service of healing for those for whom Christmas is not the happy time of year it is for some.  Please join us in our historic Webb Chapel on Sunday, December 19, at 3:00 PM for a candlelight prayer and remembrance service as we offer up our grief to God so that God might transform our pain into the peace of Christ that surpasses all understanding.

Also, for practical tips on how to cope with grief during the holiday season, please join us in the parlor of the Presbyterian Church of Madison at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 14, as grief coach Linda Trignano, author of the recently-released book The Road Ahead, gives participants an understanding of what to expect and what they might want to ask for from family and friends in order to successfully navigate what can be, for some, a difficult time of year.

The Presbyterian Church of Madison is located at 19 Green Avenue, across from borough hall.  To meet Rev. Nancy Lynch personally and tour the church, call 973-377-1600.  For general information about this congregation, visit presbyterian-madison.org or facebook.com/The Presbyterian Church of Madison (NJ).
