Cool Down with Winter in July at Museum of Early Trades and Crafts

Children from ages 4 to 10 and their families are invited to Winter in July, a craft event at the Museum of Early Trades and Crafts.

With the winter months and their respective holidays five months away, the Museum of Early Trades and Crafts is telling residents it's never too early to prepare.

The museum invites the children in the community and their families to take a break from the heat by attending Winter in July, a hand-on arts and crafts event where guests will get to make their own decorations for the winter holidays.

The event takes place next Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and is best suited for children between the ages of 4 and 10. Parents must stay with children under six years of age.

An interactive reading of "The Mitten" will take place at the close of the event.

Pre-registration is required as there are only 25 spots available. Interested participants may call 973-377-2982 ext. 12 to reserve a space.

Admission is $8 for participants, $5 for members and regular price for all others.
