Christmas Tree Installed In Downtown Madison

Massive tree will be illuminated after parade next week.

A tree donated from a Grove Street yard was installed Wednesday in downtown Madison.

The massive tree at Main Street and Waverly Place will be illuminated at the end of Madison's annual Christmas parade Friday, Nov. 29, the day after Thanksgiving.

The Madison Arts & Culture Alliance's Eighth Holiday Arts Festival the same day will feature performances at businesses and other locations in the borough.

Downtown merchants also will participate in a Christmas Walk, offering specials and refreshments to shoppers leading up to the parade.
