Thousands of people from Madison and nearby towns filled the borough's downtown Saturday for what turned out to be a warm and mostly sunny Bottle Hill Day.
The annual community festival and street fair, always held the first Saturday of October, featured some 250 vendors this year--the most ever, said Lisa Ellis, chair of Bottle Hill Day for the Downtown Development Commission.
Concerts, rock climbing, a petting zoo, car show and beer garden were among the draws at the event, followed by a fireworks display at Drew University at night.
