Ceremony will be held at Hartley Dodge and more than 800 volunteers will be working to beautify borough.

The annual Arbor Day celebration will be held in conjunction with Madison's May Day on Saturday.

The borough will be honored for the 29th straight year as a Tree City USA and will receive for the seventh time the distinction of the Tree City USA Growth award in recognition of Madison's environmental improvement and achievement of higher levels of tree care.

The Arbor Day program will include contributions from Madison students and the presentation of the Tree City flag to Mayor Bob Conley. The ceremony begins at 9 a.m. on the steps of the Hartley Dodge Memorial Building. The event will be held inside if it's raining.

The Downtown Development Commission is also sponsoring the annual May Day on Saturday with more than 800 volunteers helping to beautify the borough.
