30th Black Maria Film Festival Comes to Library

Madison Board of Education, Planning Board to meet Tuesday night.

The Madison Board of Education will meet on Tuesday night and the 30th Black Maria Film Festival comes to the Madison Library on Friday night.

Here's a look at what else is happening this week:

Monday—The will host smART stART Play Dates, featuring hands-on projects and story time for ages 3 to 5 from 1 to 3 p.m. Registration is required.

Thursday—The boys basketball team hosts Dover at 7 p.m.

Friday—The Madison Arts and Culture Alliance, along with the Rose City Framemakers, will sponsor the 30th Black Maria Film Festival at the at 8 p.m. The event will feature short films and videos selected from more than 700 entrees into this year's festival. Tickets are $10 at the door.

Saturday—The will host Explore Optical Illusions, a program geared for first- to fifth-graders that will explore the world of illusions and will demonstrate how to create a moveable illusion, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Sunday—The Mayo Center for Performing Arts in Morristown will host the second annual Garden State Folk Festival at 3 p.m. Tickets are $20.
