Madison Resident to Receive YWCA Award

Kimberley Hunt to receive Tribute to Women and Industry Award on May 8.

Madison resident Kimberley Jane Hunt will be among 51 women to be honored at the 35th Annual Tribute to Women and Industry Awards Dinner, sponsored by YWCA Union County at the Bridgewater Marriott Hotel on May 8th. 

Ms. Hunt is the Global Category & Shopper Marketer for Wellness at GlaxoSmithKline in Parsippany.  She has been responsible for establishing this new global function at GSK and ensuring markets are equipped with top class category and shopper marketing tools used drive market share and become first choice of shoppers and customers around the world. Kimberley has been with GSK for 20 years.  She began as an administrative assistant in Los Angeles, California and has had a robust career holding 15 roles from sales and customer strategy to different leadership roles.   She has been the sponsor of the African American Alliance for 5 years and actively contributes to many other cultural and talent development initiatives.   Kimberley is married to and has two children, Charlie (4) & Olivia (11).

YWCA Union County's Tribute to Women & Industry (TWIN) Award is a nationally-recognized honor for women. Since creating the TWIN award 35 years ago, the YWCA has honored women in executive, managerial, and other professional roles who have made significant contributions in their fields.  This important award recognizes successful women executives for their outstanding achievements and honors those companies that have provided opportunities for women to achieve their potential.

The TWIN Program benefits YWCA Union County’s programs for victims of domestic violence, such as emergency shelters.  Its TWIN Management Forum (TMF) is a network of TWIN honorees that meets regularly to take part in a variety of programs on career and personal development. TMF attracts diverse and talented members who experience personal and professional enrichment through its networking programs. In addition, this group provides an opportunity to help other women achieve their educational and career goals through the TMF Scholarship Fund.
