Madison Education Foundation to Host ‘Fall Fête” Adult Gala, Friday November 1st at The Madison Hotel

The Madison Education Foundation (MEF) will hold its fourth annual adult social, Fall Fête, from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Friday, November 1st at The Madison Hotel, 1 Convent Road, Morristown.  The evening will raise funds to support the work of MEF, whose mission is to award grants to K-12 teachers for initiatives that energize the creative and academic lives of students but are above and beyond the school budget.

The evening will feature a silent auction and live music by jazz pianist, Jerry Vezza.  MEF Co-President Mary Schaenen says, “our Gala Committee is creating a smaller silent auction but with more “unique” offerings.”  A very special auction item will be a Mediterranean Cooking Class with accompanying wines donated by Beth Rutland, Beth Hurley, Christina Haralampoudis and Maria Jacqmin which will be held at the Jacqmin’s Madison residence.

“Sixteen very lucky bidders will experience a hands-on cooking demonstration from Beth Rutland in a beautiful Madison home,” says Schaenen. “Beth graduated from the Institute of Culinary Education, in New York City, and has worked in a several restaurants, including Serenade in Chatham, and has also been a cooking instructor in several NJ cooking schools, including, 90 Acres Culinary Center in Peapack, Kings Cooking Studio in Short Hills and others.”
