Motorcycle enthusiasts and their family and friends are invited to join The Seeing Eye for an exciting new event on October 14. The Seeing Eye Charity Motorcycle Ride will feature a scenic ride along the back roads of New Jersey from Hope to Morris Township.

The motorcycle ride will start at Tramontin Harley-Davidson, near exit 12 of Route 80 in Hope, N.J., and will end at Lewis-Morris Park in Morristown, N.J. where Seeing Eye puppies and dogs will greet and have lunch with the riders. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the ride starts at 10 a.m. Riders and passengers are encouraged to turn their ride into a fundraiser by asking family, friends and colleagues to sponsor their ride. The participant who raises the most for The Seeing Eye will get to spend an afternoon with a Seeing Eye instructor and take a blindfold walk with a trained Seeing Eye® dog!

“The Seeing Eye has several motorcycle enthusiasts on staff and we saw this as an opportunity to invite other riders out for a relaxing ride and, at the same time, to contribute to our mission of providing guide dogs to people who are blind and visually impaired,” said Seeing Eye President & CEO Jim Kutsch.

Registration for the motorcycle ride is $25 for riders, $20 for passengers. The fee includes breakfast at the start and a catered lunch at the end with live music. The first 100 registrants will receive a custom Seeing Eye patch.  Seeing Eye dogs and puppies will greet the riders at the end and instructors will give Seeing Eye dog training demonstrations. A 50/50 drawing and prize raffle will be held. Riders’ family members and friends are welcome to meet them at the end for lunch for $15 with children 12 years and younger eating for free.
