New Fit Trail on the Traction Line
I might be the Traction Line's biggest fan - the trail runs from Washington Headquarters in Morristown to Danforth Road in Madison - and is a relaxing, safe path for bike commuters, fitness walkers and people who just want to get outside with their families without having to worry about traffic.
The path recently got even better, with the installation of a new Fit Trail Exercise Course.
The new Fit Trail Course starts at Convent Station and ends at the Morristown end, about 2 miles, and has 10 stations with different fitness ideas to try and a big congrats at the end.
I have a gym membership, but I really hate to be inside, so I cannot thank the Morris County Parks Commission enough for this awesome update to the Traction Line and the investment in Morristown residents health and well-being. Rock on, park commission.

Kendra, thanks for the update - I'm pretty sure the new Exercise stations were donated by Bayer Corp. of Park Avenue, Florham Park.

I think Bayer is on Columbia Rd in Morristown - not aware if they have offices on Park Ave. Could it be BASF? They have the new building near the Jets facility on Park Ave.

That's great! i use the par course @ Lewis Morris Park often and I love it. Can't wait to try this one out. I'm like you, don't want to be inside until I have to.

It's about time they updated it. Some of the items have been broken for a while. I wonder who paid for it.
I do disagree that it's safe, although there have been no incidents on it, I would not want my young teenagers to be using it by themselves. I've often ran past college kids walking along there smoking illegal substances or clearly intoxicated.
