Upscale Flavor Makes Taste of Madison A Big Hit
Chamber of Commerce event successful in new locale.
The final figures won't be in for some time, but the annual Taste of Madison was deemed a huge success if the number of smiling faces was any indication. The largest fundraiser to benefit the Madison Chamber of Commerce moved to upscale digs at the Park Avenue Club in Florham Park. A crowd of 700 brushed off the cold winter rain to munch the night away on gourmet treats from more than 25 local chefs and restaurants, washed down with wines that included selections from Napa Valley vintners on hand to pour their finest products. Proceeds from ticket sales are expected to surpass the $45,000 raised at the 2010 event, according to organizer Carmela Moeller.
The event was organized by the Madison Rotary Club Foundation, the Madison Chamber of Commerce, and the Madison Downtown Development Commission. Gary’s Wine & Marketplace and the Napa Valley Vintners Association helped sponsor the fundraiser.
