Benz Stolen From Redmond Drive Recovered

Madison police are continuing their investigation, and encourage residents to lock their doors and report suspicious activity.

A gray 2010 Mercedes Benz that was reported stolen from Redmond Drive in Madison last week has been recovered, said.

Madison Detective Ed Mitchko was contacted by Rahway police about the recovered vehicle on Sunday, according to a Madison police news release.

Mitchko responded to Rahway to recover the vehicle. He is continuing to investigate the theft with the Morris County Sheriff's Department criminal investigation unit.

The car was stolen between midnight and 7 a.m. on March 13.

Detective Lt. Jerry Mantone said residents should lock their vehicles and report suspicious noises, vehicles and people to the Madison Police Department at 973-593-3000 or 911.
