C&J's Deli captured the hearts of Rose City diners to to top the first Madison Patch Readers' Choice contest for favorite deli. The winner was chosen based on not only the number of votes it received in our poll, but also reader comments and reviews on its Patch Places page.
"As for my favorite deli, [it's] CJ's since you can get a 1/2 meat sandwich and the best sloppy joes in town!" said one commenter.

Johnny Blair and his gang have kept up the long-standing tradition of great service and great food which always has been evident at C&J's Deli from its many years in town. Congratulations to my favorite Deli too!

So great to see these fellas and knowing that CJ's goes on in great Madison traditions. I'm in FL. the last 8 years but I'd fly home just to get the best sandwiches in town!!! All the best to my Madison family roots. You Rock! Peachie Attonito.

Great neighbors, great eggplant, chicken cutlets and also VERY FRESH beause there is so much traffic in this store. You guys are GREAT!
