Planning Board to Make Green Village Redevelopment Recommendations
Proposals call for mixed use at site of former school.
The Planning Board is scheduled to put its official stamp on its recommendations for a major borough development project.
On the agenda for the panel's meeting tonight is a resolution for adoption memorializing "the determination of the Planning Board...to transmit to the Governing Body of the Borough of Madison a proposed Redevelopment Plan for an “area in need of redevelopment” located at 33 Green Village Road for its consideration and adoption."
The Board agreed during its Sept. 21 meeting that the redevelopment project for the Green Village Road School property will maintain a residential density cap of 125 units, along with incentives, for the entire site.
Development could also include a performing arts facility, and state-of-the-art green design techniques.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. at Hartley Dodge Memorial Municipal Building.
