Patch readers will remember Mateo Osorio Velasquez, the native of Colombia and 2011 graduate of Madison High School who enlisted in the Marine Corps. In October Private First Class Osorio Velasquez completed bootcamp at Parris Island, S.C., and is now a member of the 3rd Batallion, Lima Company, Platoon 3086. He will shortly begin training at the School of Infantry at Camp Lejeune, N.C., with a graduation date of Jan. 24 as a member of Infantry Training Batallion, Echo Company, 2nd Platoon.
