Labor Day Closings, First Day of School on Tap in Madison
A look at the week ahead in the Rose City.
Labor Day: Borough offices, the Madison Public Library and the Madison Post Office are closed Monday for the holiday, which, as Colleen O'Dea notes in her column this week, the U.S. Department of Labor calls "a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity and well-being of our country."
Wednesday Walk: Rose City Steppers meet at Hartley Dodge Memorial at 6:30 p.m. for their weekly walk. Note the new place and time for September.
Back to School: St. Vincent Martyr School's first day is Wednesday. Thursday is the first day of school for Madison public schools.
Madison Farmers Market: The farmers' market is open from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday on Green Village Road in front of the Museum of Early Trades & Crafts.
