Bottle Hill Day Is Here

Community festival and street fair in the heart of downtown Madison runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Bottle Hill Day, the annual community festival and street fair that draws thousands of people to the heart of downtown Madison, is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

The event features four stages of music with acts all day, merchant sidewalk sales and from the Museum of Early Trades and Crafts to Waverly Place, at noon.

The Downtown Development Commission Beer Garden is near the Waverly Stage, at Waverly Place and Lincoln Place, and family activities and rides are at Central Avenue School.

A free rock climbing wall is on Green Village Road, near Blue Ridge Mountain Sports, and the Chamber of Commerce Car Show is at the Madison Ambulance Squad.

Madison's original 1921 Ahrens-Fox Pumper Truck will be on display in front of Hartley Dodge Memorial and there will be a black powder demo by the frontier guard at the Museum of Early Trades and Crafts.

A Red Cross Blood Drive is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Madison Presbyterian Church and Venture Crew 77 is running a food drive at Hartley Dodge Memorial.

Jack's Homemade Dog Biscuits, and car raffle tickets to support Project Community Pride also will be on sale.
