Vivaldi and Mark Miller Glorias performed by all ages

On Sunday afternoon Dec. 16 Grace Church Madison’s combined choirs of children and adults, with Patricia Ruggles, alto, and a professional chamber orchestra will present Vivaldi’s Gloria at 3 p.m.  The concert also includes noted Drew professor/composer Mark Miller’s GRACE CHURCH GLORIA that was commissioned and premiered for the 150th anniversary of the Grace Church choir 10 years ago.

The Gloria is one of Baroque composer Antonio Vivaldi’s most beloved works. The whole concert last under an hour and makes a great introduction to a classical choral concert for young people. The soprano solo movements will be sung by the children and youth choirs, and the alto solos by Patricia Ruggles, one of Morris County’s most well-known soloists.  Admission is by freewill donation at the door and a reception follows!
