St. Vincent Runners Earn League Post-Season Honors
Young Cross-Country Athletes Make First Team, Second Team
Cross-country runners from Madison’s St. Vincent Martyr School were among the post-season honorees at the end of November when the Morris County Catholic School League
bestowed all-league honors to runners who finished in the top 15 in four out of six meets or better during the league’s season, which ran from October through November.
In the league loop along with St. Vincent’s were cross-country teams from St. Patrick School in Chatham, Assumption School in Morristown, St. Vincent DePaul
School in the Stirling section of Long Hill Township, St. James School in Basking Ridge section of Bernards Township, Our Lady of Sorrows School in South Orange, the Morris Catholic Junior School in Denville, St. Rose of Lima Academy in the Short Hills section of Millburn, and the Holy Trinity Interparochial School in Westfield.
First, Second Teams
In post-season honors, runners from St. Vincent Martyr School who were named to the league’s First Team include third-grader Aidan Nevistich, fourth-grader Lauren Kilgore, and eighth-graders Shea McGuire, Sarah Timmons and Garrett Gephart.
Named to the league’s Second Team was St. Vincent’s third-grader Christopher Vitiello, fourth-graders Ryenn Engles and Will Heffernan, and eighth-grader Andrew Gannon.
