The Adult School of Chatham, Florham Park and Madison has been awarded two grants that will allow the School to expand its offerings to the communities which it serves. A $1,000 grant from the Investors Savings Foundation has provided the financial support for a free English as a Second Language Course to persons whose native language is not English. The response has been robust. Forty-five persons are currently enrolled.
The Hyde Watson Foundation $10,000 grant allowed the Adult School to establish an up to date computer center on the second floor of the Madison Civic Center. The Adult School will now be able to provide state of the art computer training programs to community organizations such as Dress for Success, Borough staff and employees and interested others. Day, evening and weekend technology classes will be offered this spring.
Register for spring classes starting on January 28, 2013 by visiting www.theadultschool.org or by calling 973-443-9222.
